Saturday became a shopping day for me. An unusal chore. Went back home after working half day in office. It was already 2.15 pm then. Cooked myself maggie mee for lunch... and after that my sister called my cousin, Wendy No. 2 out. She needs to buy a set of clothes for her brother's upcoming wedding. We agreed to meet up at Kovan MRT station at 3.00 pm. But as usual I was late. Coz we gota take a bus to Hougang Interchange (very hot and sunny), and go to UOB bank to deposit money.
We took the train to Dolby Gaut and change to City Hall and up back to Bugis. Quite a long ride leh. Her first stop is the shops opposite Bugis Junction. As we make our way, I saw the Red Earth Comestic Shop. That shop last time was selling watches I think. Any way I made my way in.... hoping to find the purple colour eye shadows. Well, I've found it! It was $14.00. Den as usual, the sales girl asked if I would like to purchase a set (got eye shadow la, lipstick and nail polish)... hmm... den I went to look at the nail polish. If I can't find a nail polish, I just buy the eye shadow only de lor... coz that's my priority la. But saw a light brown nail colour, not bad la... hahah.. den proceed to the lipstick. This time I chose a darker colour 1. So total I paid $29.00 in Red Earth.
We went to 7-11 1st to buy some cold drinks coz I noe she would take a long long time to choose... I scared I'll get thirsty. LOlz! There is this new drink on the store..."不爽". A drink by Lotte. It's milk soda. Got 3 kinds, the oringal milk soda, the orange milk soda and strawberry milk soda. So gee.. I took the original milk soda lor.. and also I took the A&W Rootbeer.. I scared the milk soda not nice.. ahhahaa... so have to prepare myself lolz...
Guess wat? The milk soda not bad.. sweet lor.. and a bit "gasy". It actually tasted like a sweet which I had eaten before but... I can't remember wor. Geez... But not bad la. We walked 1 lane and found nothing. Den we walked the other lane... den saw 1 shop, the skirts there all at $10 only. Saw 1 skirt not bad.. so I went to try, M size, the skirt too flaire... so the sales girl ask me to try a bigger size, L, wear it lower and wun be so flaire. Hm... L size seems better.. low waist skirt. My sister also tried 1 skirt, den she come out.. black out. den we waited a while, the lights came back. Den she took several skirts to try... finally she chose the 1 she liked... den black out again. This time we waited quite long and the lights didn't come back at all.. So we paid for our 2 skirts and $20 in total. Den we u-turn to walk the other side of the street... This is the 1st time I encounter blackout in Bugis street lor.
Below is the way how we walked... and only that lane blackout.
We went to the shops upstairs. Air-con but not much people. Went into a shop and get her to try some of the dresses. All the dresses looked like party dress rather den a proper dress for wedding. Den my sister saw this top (bkue colour) on the mannequin quite nice... den she went into the dressing room to try. I was like their advisor, advising them if it's nice or not lor.. hahaha. She took the pink colour in and doesn't seemed quite nice la. Asked her take the top from the mannequin to try.. hm... better now. Geez.. den I saw the Winnie the Pooh bag on display... quite nice... lolz... got black and light brown. So I took the light brown 1.. $12.90. And my sister's clothes is $17.90.
At last we saw another shop selling dresses. She went in to try also. The sales girl quite friendly. It was the shop opposite the ear rings shop which sells the cat eyes 1... Got the blue, white... alot la. countless.... We chose the blue colour dress.. quite striking the colours and nice lor.. very elegant. I think it was $34. I den went opposite shop to had my eyebrowns trim.
Guess what we had for dinner? We had spaghetti at Sketches for dinner. I had ordered the Spicy Thai Seafood, my sister created her own spaghetti and Wendy took the Mushroom Blooms. Gee.. mine is the best.. coz mine is spicy ma... My sister is alot of tomatoes.. which she like and Wendy's 1 is kinda oily coz it was fried with olive oil. Not for me I guess. The 2 girls who were sitting opposite table of ours.. ordered alot.... each had a plate of spaghetti, den 1 plate of chicken wing, 1 plate of cheese sticks, 1 bowl of mushroom soup and 1 plate of garlic bread. Just the 2 of them!! So powerful! For us, each a plate of spaghetti is already quite filling.
Wendy parted with us and me and my sister went to find her friend who is working in Lovely Land. There is this new glasses shop opposite it. Not bad the glasses. Lolz.. after this we went home.
Reached home about 9.45 pm. Bathed and applied medi on my eyes.. and slept at 10.30 pm I think. I slept 12 hours already. Whhooo.... Loved it!
Today is sunday and I'm goin to the Library to find my work and do homework leh... Maybe going out later... dun waste my sunday away lor... Geez...
